I learned to cook the old-fashioned way, in my Granny Blackstock’s kitchen. I don’t know whether she chose to teach me because she recognized I would take to cooking or to keep me out of trouble but I sure am glad she tried me out. Cooking good food for people is my passion.
Somewhere along the way, I realized that cooking, family, and history all go together. Most of my recipes seem to have a story to go along with them so I am not only sharing my recipes with you but the stories and history in and around them.
